Cobwebs is a card, gift and wool shop in Tottington near Bury in Lancashire. It is owned by mother and daughter, Alison and Clare. 

Our shop has a wide selection of cards from inexpensive everyday cards to special handmade cards.  Our gift range includes keyrings, mugs and notebooks to jewellery, scarves and handbags.We try to stock as many small UK companies as we can and particularly those from the Manchester area.  Our aim is to offer something different and more unusual than high street shops.

A very popular addition to our shop in the last few years is the belgian chocolate counter.   We always have at least 30 different chocolates to choose from, with an everchanging selection.  Whether it is a few chocolates in a bag as a treat for yourself or a box for a gift, they are a firm favourite with our customers.

Workshops - Finishing Workshop - 20th November 2011 11am - 4pm

Come along and improve your finishing techniques, we will be doing blocking, sewing up, neat ways to increase and decrease, picking up stitches and button holes.  You will need to bring with you 3 squares knitted in stocking stitch measuring 6 inches, 4mm needles and sewing up needles. (Needles can be purchased on the day.) We will provide yarn and lunch.

Autumn/Winter Yarns

The new yarns for Autumn/Winter are now in stock, we have some lovely new offerings from Sirdar including some new colours in old favourites.  New stock from Rico is arriving all the time and the Fashion Tweed Super Chunky has been really popular.  Our Bergere de France yarns continue to be popular with the fabulous price for the wool content they are lovely to knit with.  Their Caline yarn has struck a chord with our knitters with a donation to support premature babies with every ball sold.  A beautiful 4 ply with 20% wool is ideal for the winter months and is machine washable at 30 degrees and tumble dryable.

Rico Loopy - The new frilly scarf is in stock but colours are selling fast. There are solid and mixed colours to choose from.  Most of our knitters are proclaiming it easier to knit than Cancan and are loving the lacy effect. Come and decide which is your favourite.

Rico Cancan - still very popular, we now have the new 'glitz' colours in stock. Gorgeous selection of colours.
